hmm. :)

Hopefully not speaking too soon, here, but it's good to note the feeling regardless. I feel good. Not depressed, not lethargic... I have energy and will to work on things. (Well, okay, there's still procrastination going on, but...)

I did amy's kickboxing workout video yesterday and had to stop and start and keep getting more water throughout, rewinding bits to try and understand them and get into the rhythm and such (and not pass out, etc...).

I didn't get tired last night. I wasn't hungry. It was amazing. I think I'm also really starting to kick the caffeine habit I'd gotten into, so that may be part of it as well. Need to decide if I'm going to allow myself a weekly dose again or not.

Around 4am I decided I wanted to go to bed, and noticed amy had a beginner's yoga tape with a.m. and p.m. exercises. I did the p.m. exercises, was yawning throughout, and went to bed just fine. Woke up at 11, relatively energized.

I got a lot done with globealive last night. =) Offline qa system is in place other than "rating" and I think I'll kick that in in a short bit. I really fucking hope people like it. The message board is awfully quiet, but then ... it is usually like that, these days.

Did the kickboxing video again today, and I'm looking forward to keeping up with it. I hope. :) I didn't have to break as often, though I did drink about 4 glasses of water during the 45 minute workout. And I didn't have to rewind at all. Muscles are still fatigued, but it feels good.

I need to do more stretching.

What's the name of that kickboxing video? Would you recommend it to those of us who are relatively out of shape? *raises hand* (That would be me.)

Or will it make us want to die of exhaustion?

I consider myself relatively out of shape (don't do anything but sit in front of the computer all day... or walk to class twice a week. seriously.), but somewhat "naturally" tending towards fit. (though that may be going with my "youth").

It's "kathy smith kickboxing workout". I tried it a few years ago but didn't really make it past 15 minutes a day. I don't know why, really--it's harder for me NOW to do any particular set, but I'm actually able to stick through the entire (basic) workout. It's kinda neat (DVD) in that you can build your own workout through the various pieces, do the "basic" set, the "challenge" set, or the "tai chi energizer".
