I've been holding off on posting, lately. I haven't had time for anything but this project, for the most part. I'm auditing a course at SF State, taking tuesdays off to write, and... working on this (well, I've patched/added functionality to NFG and globealive, tweaked rockmage.com some...). I haven't had time to keep up with livejournal.
I just realized that I was being unfair to myself. Yes, this place (and you guys) make a wonderful community. But this *is* a journal. My memory is for shit, so it's nice, for me, to be able to record bits of my life... and that's what this is here for. Thoughts and less-than-thoughts. (in sickness and in health)
Amy's working on http://amyandkaolin.net :) isn't it cute? She wants me to purty it up, but... I'll get there eventually. [hmm. maybe I can get genes (from old Metazoa days) to help -- he's a good designer. :heh:]
NFG is coming along. if you haven't and you can spare the cash, PLEASE buy a magazine (or better yet a subscription) -- we need subscriptions to show the advertisers what sort of readerbase we have. If we don't have a readerbase, we can't get the advertisers to pay for printing the mag. That will probably become an issue come #4 (we're prepping #2 this and last week). #4 will be 9 months or so from now...
I still haven't gotten my boxes of NFG, just my promo copy (that I finally got back a week or two after lending it to some artists I'm hoping will submit to NFG). Yay security blanket. ;)
On Friday, I'm to meet a couple interested in doing a porn site. I need income, and the female does appear (from sample images) to have a body that will draw a population of people.
I hope everyone else is doing well. I don't think I'm going to be able to catch up on these last few weeks. I'm still underwater as it is. But I wanted to post the above before it faded away...
Oh. random details -- I'm provisionally accepted to SF State going for a BS in Biochemistry (I think that's what I signed up for); I need to get berkeley to send them a transcript. I got my writing assessment back from the GRE -- 5.0 out of 6. not bad until you notice that that's 65 percentile. thirty-five percent of people taking it got a 5, 5.5, or 6. Amy got a 5.0 as well. And apparently our loud neighbors piss her off a lot more than I realized -- we're to the stage of idly looking for a place to move to. (apparently she's been idly looking for months). La la la.
