my feet hurt

not as bad as the time I played tennis on hot asphalt barefoot for an hour or two ... I had blood blisters on blisters that time.

But I do tend to forget how tender feet get when you don't go barefoot all the time. I went for a jog barefoot (it was that or sandals) and ripped a few new holes in my feet. oops? :)

other than that... work... sleeping too much now that Amy's home again; I don't understand that. :(

I wear a lot of sandals, and when I'm not in sandals I'm either in cowboy boots (not enough, regretfully) or bare feet. So mine are pretty tough. But there was the time I played basketball barefoot... I was SOOO blistered!!!

Who's Amy? How come you sleep more when she's around?

Amy's my girlfriend; we live together. I'm not sure why, and I'm not sure how true it is... but that's what it seems like. She visited her parents for a week and while I didn't get much done (I'd planned to) I didn't sleep as much. [I even kept a log thereof, along with my exercise and eating habits]

it's partially that I go to bed earlier to be with her... but more so (I think) that I have trouble getting out of bed... my only guess is that I'm not sleeping as well, but... meh.

I always walk in sandals -- I used to walk barefoot most of the time, but changed that habit the more I thought of what happens on sidewalks.

I guess the sleeping thing makes sense. When Jon's gone, I tend to play around on the Internet more, and I actually stay up later (although I always say that I'm going to go to bed earlier, because I'm really not a night person.) And I know I don't sleep as well when Jon's not there--I don't know if there's too much room in the bed or what. :-)

I nearly always wear shoes about the city, as most kids here drink heavily and smash the bottles in the streets to destroy the evidence. In the woods however, it tends to feel much better without... There's nothing quite like running barefoot through a swamp.

When I was with Shanthi, we'd sleep not-as-well, but longer, and it felt better than sleeping apart.
