covreing green bases

Just seeing if I can offload some thinking and brainstorming. ;) What sort of supplies do you go through on a daily/weekly/monthly basis? I've thought through bathroom stuffs and food stuffs, but I'm probably missing (many) somethings.

LivingECHO wants to make your life greener, and wants to do it conveniently. But it's got too many of some products (random recycled artish things, beds), too few of others (no pencils, writing paper, ...?). We need to work on that, and we need to prioritize things (a little too busy with everything else, but ... trying!)

I've got a friend working on a "greening your bathroom" focus article: towels, washcloths, toilet paper, etc.

What do you buy on a recurring basis that you'd like to buy greener?

Thanks :D

I also use way too many paper towels that are not eco-friendly at all. I've managed to reduce the number I use, however, by getting better quality ones that actually work better, so I'm hopeful that helps somewhat.

All of my cleaning products are in refillable bottles, so I try to reduce waste there.

Our biggest eco-issue is that I live in a non-recycling building and so the boxes I get from deliveries end up, alas, in the trash and not recycled. You'd think w/200 apartments the management would recycle, but no. That would make sense.

The only paper in the bathroom is TP and it's the good stuff as we are both delicate flowers. Otherwise, our shampoos are HUGE to last a long time and reduce waste, our cleaning products are as described above, and our washcloths/towels are basic white cotton, so no dyes to leech into the water system or anything.

Ah, we do have a woven grass bathmat that will bio-degrade when we have to change it out one day.
