Saaaaaaaaaaa tur deigh

A bit loopy. Went to sleep early last night as I was feeling a tad under the weather (a lot of sneezing, overly foggy head, yadda). Took a while getting to sleep, and woke up at some point realizing that the cats that woke me up a few nights ago weren't really cats--it was a squalling baby. Not a siamese. Silly me (its lungs or my ears happened to be more developed last night). Should make that a little easier to ignore in the future and explains why I couldn't find it when I went outside to poke around -- and why it would get quiet around the same time I'd finally get up and look. Funny, all that. Really.

So my sleep wasn't as good as it could have been, but... yeah. It was better than not sleeping by a long shot. I'm fighting the urge to sleep right now, as nice as that seems it would be.

Woke up and saw Spiderman 2 with Amy--it was a tad too scary for her, though because everything worked out all right, she's not too freaked out; she was in a bad way in the middle of the movie, though, wanting to go home, even. La.

loopy. went off on an imdb search and forgot I was here.

Here being--we went to the stoneridge mall for buffet sushi, which wasn't so bad, and then I picked out a tux-ish-thing and accoutrements for my wedding. A relatively painless experience--Amy liked in-the-store the style I had my eye on, after hating it everywhere else she saw it. I went with a pattern/color of vest/tie she liked, and picked out the sleek shoes, got measured, ... and that's that. Now I have to pass on that information to everyone it affects. In due time.

La. Shopped at walmart, got new lightbulbs for the bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, and a hideous wealth of dvds--I dug down to the bottom of one corner of a large box (3'x3'x3', at least) of $5.50 per. Some will be presents. Some Amy has to see. Some I want to see. One I really want to see and one I want to inflict on myself and others. Well, the one I really want to see I expect to inflict on others as well.

Tomorrow we're probably going to see Shrek 2 and possibly see the latest Harry Potter. The Day After Tomorrow (the movie) is still up in the air.

Livejournal allows me to procrastinate on life so well. Trying to work on dev.imaginaries.org, but it's crazy hot/humid in the computer room. Mind not so worky.

I can send Harry Potter the day after tomorrow
Hmm.... I cannot wait to see you at the wedding.

Oh, by the way, if you want, I can send you "Harry Potter 3" and "The Day After Tomorrow", if you would like me to do so. I still have it in .avi format on my computer.

I would recommend "Harry Potter 3", it was not only delightfully enjoyable but I rather liked the twist ending. It is the only movie that I know of to best used that plot devise in a positive manner.

It should be a grand affair. :)

And no thanks, re the avis. My computer is not nearly so adept at screening films as a movie screen, and my speakers fail even more at providing the experience I would prefer to experience.

As for the twist ending, I have to agree it is a lot of fun to traverse, and I'm glad it gets your stamp of approval; I actually did wonder. :)

Haven't read the fourth book yet. I'll need to get on that, regardless of the complaints of lack of editing, and such. Such such such.

Spiderman 2 freaked her out?

She'd better not see any actual head-trips, like "Memento" or "Jacob's Ladder" or "The Cube". I find psychological trips to be much more disturbing than "splatter" horror movies -- but Spiderman was a loveable, heroic adventure story!

Re: Spiderman??

It's not so much the head trip, as the 'thriller/suspense' bit of it. But the things you mentioned all have that problem as well. We're well aware of her borders in such fashion, and generally tread shy of them.

The way she is with suspense/horror is how I am with 'uncomfortable situations' and 'people acting stupid'.

The combination really doesn't leave room for many shared films, but we make do. I'm a little less squeamish with my painbutton than she is.

La. :)

Keeps life interesting.

It's an Amy thing.

It doesn't happen often.

I don't tend to think about things very much.
