nanowrimo 2003

I did it. 50,000 words. 30,000 of them in the last week and a bit. Holy fuck. I'm done. Stick a fork in me. nentwined_nnwm for all the bloody details, you sick, sick person.

Anyone else make it through? I know thyme63 did. kari_marie bailed out early (kari_marie_nnwm) due to real life, and I don't know what jess9599 did.

I remember earthemp6 was trying, and from the lack of posts, probably doing. And I found out late in the game that kuangning was in the running also.

Congratulations! Sounds horribly painful, but it must feel nice to be done. Is the text up somewhere? I liked the excerpts.

text. yes. Hmm.

If you really want to torture yourself, then I'd love feedback on it:

(also linked from "writing")

to get in, it's nanowrimo forwards and backwards.

Heh. I gave that impression, but I really wasn't. The story I chose to work on this month was begun beforehand, and just needed to be finished. Still does need to be finished, actually; I started it last year and half of what I wrote last year was utter crap I couldn't let see the light of day.

Congratulations on finishing. :)

WOOHOO! It was a gross undertaking and you proved yourself worthy. What's next, the 100,000 word event? Possibly a triathalon?

I think my fortune cookie today sums it up best: "Now is a good time to finish up old tasks."

Congrats, Kaolin!!! :-D

I actually have about 12,000 words written, but I just quit posting it on LJ because it's way too embarassing. Moose puke, really. I gave up on filling in description and just wrote straight dialogue--I love to eavesdrop on my students, so I basically wrote what I hear. And it makes no sense.

So I may finish it, someday. Next year, perhaps--I don't know.

Blah. Next summer I want to do more research on my missions book--that's something I really enjoy. The writing, not so fun, but the research, good stuff. And it gives me an excuse to travel more, and hang out in libraries.

Well done! I knew you'd finish. Alas, I have not. I sort of ran out steam mid way. I did produce some good things though. So it wasn't a complete loss.

Again, congrats. That is quite an accomplishment :)
